Changing with the seasons

In a subtle effort to be more-attuned to the world around us and the Earth under our feet, we have been experimenting with aligning our “quarterly”, semi-annual, and annual patterns with the changing of the seasons. Details are announced via the monthly bulletin!

Virtual gatherings

On a seasonal basis, project members gather on a one-hour facilitated Zoom session to meet and support fellow project leaders, share learnings, brainstorm Member Fund ideas, and offer questions and feedback to the administrative team. Attendance is encouraged, but not required.

Seasonal pairings

On a seasonal, opt-in basis, we also match up community members with one another. We alternate between connecting individuals with one another and connecting projects with one another. And within each, we alternate between random and curated pairings - each, we believe, has its own benefits.

Overall, the hope is that projects and leaders can learn from one another, support each other, and that if we ever have to weather a storm together, we will be more resilient as a result of these efforts.

Semi-annual reports

On a semi-annual basis as the spring and autumn come to an end,1 we generate a simple, one-paragraph report on the activities of each project over the course of the last half-year, and bring it to each project for edits or, if none are needed, confirmation. A response from the project is required.

Footnotes
